Live Market Rate

What "Live Market Rate" Actually Means

Gold and silver prices in India are quoted in real time on the MCX (Multi Commodity Exchange) and published daily by the IBJA (India Bullion and Jewellers Association). These rates change multiple times a day based on international spot prices, the USD/INR exchange rate, and domestic demand.

When we say "live market rate," we mean the MCX/IBJA rate at the moment of your visit, not a fixed morning rate, not yesterday's closing price, and not an internally suppressed "buying rate" that is quietly lower than the published spot price.

Full Transparency at the Counter

  • We display the current MCX rate on screen during every evaluation, and you can cross-check it on your phone simultaneously.
  • The rate used in your offer calculation is shown next to the weight and purity, so you see every number in the formula.
  • If the market rate changes significantly between when you arrive and when you finalise, we re-calculate using the updated rate.
  • We do not round down the rate or apply hidden 'making charges', and only the disclosed 3% service charge applies.

Why Most Buyers Don't Use the Real Rate

Traditional gold buyers often apply a private "buying rate" that is 3–8% below the published spot price, in addition to their service charge. This means you effectively face two hidden deductions: one on the rate itself, and one labelled as a fee. At Anjaneya Gold Point, the only deduction from the market price is our stated 3% service charge. What you see on MCX is the rate your offer is calculated on.
